This Master study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for professionals and graduates seeking advanced expertise in sports injury prevention, rehabilitation science, and performance recovery. Positioned at a study level equal to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the Second European Cycle, the program is equivalent to 60 ECTS and has a minimum duration of 12+ months, with flexible options for extension based on individual research progress.
The program is structured around five integrated modules: two research-focused modules dedicated to advanced research methodology, scientific analysis, and academic writing; two general modules that strengthen interdisciplinary understanding, ethics, and professional standards; and one specialized module centered on sports injury prevention and rehabilitation. These modules are complemented by thesis and structured research activities, enabling participants to produce meaningful and original academic work within the field.
The Master in Sports Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation emphasizes evidence-based approaches to musculoskeletal injuries, sports trauma management, biomechanics, athletic performance optimization, rehabilitation protocols, and preventive conditioning strategies. Students critically examine injury risk factors, recovery frameworks, return-to-play models, and emerging rehabilitation technologies through systematic research and analytical evaluation.
This research-oriented structure prepares graduates to contribute to innovation in sports science, clinical rehabilitation, fitness performance, and athletic health management. Participants develop advanced competencies in critical thinking, scientific investigation, and applied research, equipping them to operate at a high professional and academic level within sports and healthcare environments.
