The Master in Law and Russian is a 100% research-based Master study program designed for graduates and professionals who seek to develop advanced expertise at the intersection of legal systems and the Russian language. This Master study program is academically positioned at a level equal to EQF Level 7 and corresponds to the 2nd European cycle of higher education.
The program is structured to enhance advanced legal analysis, independent research capability, and professional academic writing within Russian legal and multilingual contexts. It explores the interaction between law and the Russian language in areas such as comparative law, Russian legal terminology, legislative drafting, judicial interpretation, legal translation, regional legal systems, cross-border legal transactions, and international regulatory frameworks involving Russian-speaking jurisdictions.
The academic structure consists of five modules, including:
Two research-focused modules dedicated to research methodology, applied legal research, and advanced academic writing.
Two general modules designed to strengthen interdisciplinary competencies, research ethics, and academic professionalism.
One specialized module in Law and Russian, focusing on Russian legal discourse, comparative legal systems, terminology analysis, and professional applications in governmental, judicial, and international environments.
The program culminates in a thesis and structured research activities that enable students to produce academically rigorous and professionally relevant research outputs.
The minimum duration of this Master study program is +12 months, with flexibility allowing students to extend their study period according to academic or professional commitments. The program carries a workload equivalent to 60 ECTS credits.
