The Master in Law and Languages is a 100% research-based Master study program designed for graduates and professionals who aim to develop advanced expertise at the intersection of legal systems and multilingual communication. This Master study program is academically positioned at a level equal to EQF Level 7 and corresponds to the 2nd European cycle of higher education.
The program is structured to strengthen analytical thinking, comparative legal understanding, and advanced academic research skills, while emphasizing the role of languages in legal interpretation, legislation, international agreements, diplomacy, and cross-border transactions. It is particularly suited for those interested in comparative law, legal linguistics, legal translation and interpretation, international legal frameworks, multilingual legislation, and policy analysis in global contexts.
The academic structure consists of five modules, including:
Two research-focused modules dedicated to research methodology, applied legal research, and advanced academic writing.
Two general modules aimed at reinforcing interdisciplinary competencies, research ethics, and professional academic standards.
One specialized module in Law and Languages, focusing on legal discourse across different linguistic systems, comparative terminology, and practical applications in international legal environments.
The program culminates in a thesis and structured research activities that enable students to produce academically rigorous and professionally relevant research outputs.
The minimum duration of this Master study program is +12 months, with flexibility allowing students to extend their study period according to their academic or professional commitments. The program carries a workload equivalent to 60 ECTS credits.
