This Master study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for graduates who seek advanced specialization in English Literature at a level equal to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the second European cycle of European higher education. The program provides a rigorous intellectual framework that strengthens critical analysis, theoretical engagement, scholarly writing, and independent research within the broad and evolving field of literary studies.
Structured around five integrated modules, the program combines academic depth with methodological precision. Two modules focus on advanced research design, research methodologies, academic writing standards, and scholarly communication. Two general modules enhance interdisciplinary perspectives, critical thinking, and theoretical foundations essential for high-level literary inquiry. One specialized module is dedicated to English Literature, allowing participants to explore areas such as literary theory, modern and contemporary literature, comparative literature, postcolonial studies, cultural criticism, genre studies, and digital literary analysis.
The program culminates in the preparation of an original thesis and structured research activities that demonstrate the participant’s capacity to conduct independent, high-quality academic research. Emphasis is placed on originality, critical interpretation of primary and secondary texts, theoretical application, and the development of a coherent and publishable scholarly manuscript.
With a minimum duration of 12 months and flexible study extension options, the program is designed to accommodate both full-time scholars and working professionals.
