This Master study program is designed for professionals who aim to develop advanced expertise at the intersection of financial technology (FinTech) and digital commercial law. It focuses on how technological innovation is transforming financial services, digital transactions, and regulatory environments. The program explores areas such as blockchain, digital payments, fintech ecosystems, smart contracts, and the legal frameworks governing electronic commerce, data protection, and cross-border digital operations.
This is a 100% research-based program, enabling participants to critically analyze emerging financial technologies, regulatory challenges, and legal implications while developing evidence-based strategies for innovation and compliance. The study level is equivalent to ISCED Level 7 and EQF Level 7. The International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) is a global framework used to classify education levels across countries, while the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) defines learning outcomes based on knowledge, skills, and competencies. Level 7 represents advanced, specialized knowledge and high-level strategic and analytical capabilities typically associated with master-level education.
The program is structured into five modules: two research-focused modules that strengthen academic and analytical competencies, two general modules that provide essential knowledge in management and business environments, and one specialized module dedicated to financial technology and digital commercial law. These are complemented by thesis and research activities, allowing participants to apply theoretical frameworks to real-world challenges in fintech and digital legal systems.
The duration of the program is a minimum of 12 months, with flexibility for participants to extend their study period based on professional and personal commitments. The program carries 60 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System), aligning it with the second cycle of higher education in Europe.
