This doctorate study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for scholars, researchers, and senior professionals seeking to advance knowledge in Sociology and the broader field of Social Sciences. The Doctorate in Social Sciences (Sociology) focuses on producing original research that contributes meaningfully to contemporary sociological debates and global social challenges. Participants critically engage with advanced sociological theories, comparative social systems, institutional analysis, social stratification, governance structures, migration dynamics, digital societies, cultural transformations, public policy, and global development. Emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary integration, analytical precision, and evidence-based scholarship capable of influencing academia, policy-making, and international institutions.
The academic structure consists of seven modules:
Four research-focused modules dedicated to advanced research design, quantitative and qualitative methodologies, academic publishing, and high-level data analysis.
Two general academic modules supporting ethical frameworks, scholarly leadership, and interdisciplinary research integration.
One specialized module centered specifically on advanced topics in Sociology and contemporary social sciences.
In addition, participants complete a comprehensive doctoral thesis and structured research activities that demonstrate the ability to conceptualize, design, implement, and defend an original research project at the highest academic level.
The duration is +18 months (minimum duration), with flexibility allowing candidates to extend their study period in accordance with the scope and depth of their research work.
