The Doctorate in Law and French is structured to develop high-level competencies in comparative legal systems, jurisprudence, legal theory, and the interpretation of complex legal texts within Francophone jurisdictions. It supports in-depth academic investigation into cross-border legal frameworks, international regulatory systems, multilingual legal communication, and the evolving relationship between language, law, and policy.
The academic structure consists of seven modules, including:
Four research-focused modules dedicated to advanced research methodology, legal philosophy, academic publishing, and analytical frameworks.
Two general modules designed to strengthen interdisciplinary scholarship, advanced academic communication, and strategic legal thinking.
One specialized module in Law and French, concentrating on Francophone legal systems, comparative law, and high-level legal terminology and discourse analysis.
