This doctorate study program is an advanced, research-intensive academic pathway designed for scholars and professionals who seek to generate original contributions at the intersection of historical studies and Spanish language and cultural research. The academic structure includes seven modules: four research-related modules dedicated to advanced research design, qualitative and quantitative methodologies, academic publishing, and scholarly writing; two general modules that strengthen interdisciplinary competence, ethics, and advanced analytical skills; and one specialized module focused specifically on History and Spanish as a combined field of study. The program also includes thesis and research activities that enable participants to produce substantial and original academic research aligned with global scholarly expectations.
This doctorate study program encourages deep exploration of themes such as Iberian and Latin American historical transformations, political and social movements in Spanish-speaking societies, linguistic evolution, historiography, cultural identity, translation in historical contexts, and the global influence of the Spanish language. Participants critically analyze primary sources, including archival materials and texts in Spanish, and contribute new insights to academic discourse and cultural understanding.
The duration of the program is +18 months. While a minimum study period applies, participants benefit from flexible progression and may extend their study timeline according to the scope of their research and professional commitments.
