This Master study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for professionals and researchers seeking to deepen their expertise in integrative health, mind–body sciences, and therapeutic applications of yoga. Positioned at a level equal to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the second European cycle, the program emphasizes critical inquiry, academic rigor, and evidence-based practice in the field of Yoga Therapy.
With a structure equivalent to 60 ECTS and a minimum duration of 12 months (with flexible extension options), the program is tailored for learners who wish to combine theoretical foundations with advanced research competencies. Participants explore the scientific, psychological, and physiological dimensions of yoga as a therapeutic modality, examining its role in supporting mental health, chronic disease management, stress reduction, rehabilitation, and holistic wellbeing.
The academic framework consists of five modules:
Two research-focused modules dedicated to advanced research methodology, academic writing, data analysis, and ethical considerations in health research.
Two general modules that strengthen interdisciplinary understanding, critical thinking, and contemporary issues in integrative and complementary health sciences.
One specialized module in Yoga Therapy, focusing on therapeutic yoga frameworks, clinical applications, anatomy and physiology, psychosomatic health, and integrative care models.
The program culminates in a substantial research thesis and structured research activities, enabling participants to contribute academically to the growing global discourse on yoga as a therapeutic intervention. Emphasis is placed on analytical skills, independent research capacity, and the development of innovative, evidence-based approaches within clinical and community contexts.
Graduates of this Master study program are equipped to engage in advanced research, policy development, integrative health consultancy, wellness program design, or further doctoral-level studies in related disciplines.
