This Master study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for professionals and graduates who aim to deepen their expertise in the field of textiles, materials innovation, and sustainable fabric technologies. The program is academically positioned at a level equal to EQF Level 7, corresponding to the second European cycle, and is structured to develop advanced analytical, technical, and research competencies within the textile sector.

Textiles today represent a dynamic interdisciplinary field that combines material science, design innovation, sustainability, engineering, cultural heritage, and industrial production. This Master study program is tailored to equip participants with the capacity to conduct independent research, evaluate textile systems, and contribute to innovation in areas such as smart fabrics, sustainable materials, production technologies, fashion systems, and global textile markets.

The academic structure includes five modules, carefully designed to ensure methodological strength and field specialization:

  • Two research-related modules focusing on research design, methodology, academic writing, and data analysis in textile studies

  • Two general modules addressing advanced theoretical perspectives, innovation management, sustainability, and global industry frameworks

  • One specialized module dedicated specifically to textile science, materials technology, textile production systems, and contemporary industry challenges

In addition, participants complete a substantial thesis and engage in structured research activities that demonstrate their ability to contribute original insights to the textile field.

The duration of the program is minimum 12 months, with flexibility for extension to accommodate research development and professional commitments. The program is academically equivalent to 60 ECTS credits, ensuring compatibility with European higher education standards.

Graduates of this Master study program will be prepared for leadership roles in textile research, sustainable production, innovation management, quality assurance, fashion and apparel industries, or further doctoral-level research. The program emphasizes critical thinking, global industry awareness, and research excellence aligned with international academic standards.
