This Master study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for professionals and aspiring leaders committed to advancing sustainable agricultural systems and resilient food supply chains. Positioned at a level equal to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the second European cycle, the Master in Sustainable Food Production carries an academic workload equal to 60 ECTS credits.

The program is structured around five integrated modules that combine advanced research competence with sector-specific expertise. Two modules are dedicated to research development, strengthening skills in research methodology, data analysis, environmental assessment, and evidence-based innovation in food systems. Two general modules focus on strategic management, sustainability leadership, policy frameworks, and organizational transformation within agri-food industries. One specialized module is devoted specifically to Sustainable Food Production, addressing regenerative agriculture, climate-smart farming, circular food systems, resource efficiency, food security strategies, sustainable supply chains, agri-technology innovation, and environmental impact management. The program concludes with thesis and research activities that enable participants to investigate contemporary challenges and future-oriented solutions in global food production systems.

This Master study program is designed for individuals seeking to lead sustainable transformation in agriculture, food processing, agri-business, environmental consultancy, and public policy. Through its research-driven structure, participants critically examine global food security challenges, climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation, water and soil management, technological innovation, and ethical production practices in increasingly complex global markets.

With a minimum duration of 12 months and flexible study progression options, the program accommodates working professionals who aim to integrate academic advancement with professional engagement. The research-based orientation ensures that graduates develop analytical capabilities to design, evaluate, and implement sustainable food production models that balance environmental responsibility, economic viability, and social equity.
