100% Research-Based | EQF Level 7 | 60 ECTS | Second European Cycle

The Master in Sustainable Development and Global Policy is an advanced postgraduate program designed to prepare professionals for strategic leadership roles in international development, global governance, and sustainability policy design. Fully research-based and academically aligned with EQF Level 7, the program is equivalent to the Second Cycle of European Higher Education and awards 60 ECTS credits.

This program develops advanced expertise in sustainable development frameworks, global public policy, international cooperation systems, climate governance, socio-economic transformation strategies, environmental diplomacy, and policy evaluation models. Through a strong research orientation, students critically analyze global inequality challenges, sustainable economic systems, multilateral policy coordination, international development financing, SDG implementation strategies, and global institutional reform. The academic framework ensures that graduates can design evidence-based policies that integrate environmental sustainability, economic resilience, and social equity.

The academic structure consists of five core modules:

  • Two research-focused modules dedicated to advanced research methodology, quantitative and qualitative policy analysis, development data interpretation, and academic writing.

  • Two general management modules covering strategic leadership, governance systems, public administration, and global organizational environments.

  • One specialization module focused specifically on sustainable development strategy, global policy design, international development frameworks, and multilateral governance mechanisms.

The program culminates in a master’s thesis and structured research activities, enabling students to conduct independent research on contemporary topics such as climate policy governance, sustainable urban development strategies, global poverty reduction systems, green economic transformation, SDG policy integration, or international institutional reform. The final research project demonstrates analytical rigor, policy competence, and strategic leadership in global sustainability governance.

The minimum duration is 12 months, with flexibility to extend the study period according to professional commitments. This structure makes the program particularly suitable for policy advisors, international development professionals, government officials, NGO leaders, sustainability consultants, and global governance specialists seeking advanced academic qualifications while continuing their careers.

Graduates are prepared for senior roles in international organizations, development agencies, public policy institutions, sustainability strategy departments, and global governance bodies.
