This Master study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for educators, policy specialists, academic leaders, and digital learning innovators who are committed to expanding access, equity, and flexibility in education. Positioned at a level equivalent to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the Second European Cycle, the program emphasizes research excellence, open knowledge systems, and sustainable models of inclusive and accessible learning.
With a minimum duration of 12 months and flexible study extension options, the program carries an equivalency of 60 ECTS, ensuring structured academic progression and international comparability. The curriculum consists of five modules, including two research-focused modules, two general academic modules, and one specialized module dedicated to Open Education, followed by thesis and structured research activities.
The research modules develop advanced competencies in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, open learning analytics, evaluation of open educational practices, policy analysis, and academic writing aligned with international publication standards. Participants critically examine global movements in open access, open educational resources (OER), open licensing frameworks, and data-driven strategies for widening participation.
The specialized module focuses on open curriculum design, open educational resource development, digital platform governance, community-based learning ecosystems, accessibility standards, inclusive pedagogical models, and quality assurance in open delivery systems. Emphasis is placed on building scalable, collaborative, and sustainable open education frameworks that foster global knowledge exchange.
The general modules reinforce leadership capabilities, research ethics, strategic analysis, and scholarly communication competencies, preparing participants to contribute to universities, open learning institutions, NGOs, policy development platforms, and international education networks.
