This Master study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for professionals and researchers seeking advanced expertise in the strategic, operational, and economic dimensions of the global energy sector. Positioned at a study level equal to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the second European cycle, the program provides a rigorous academic framework equivalent to 60 ECTS and a minimum duration of 12 months, with flexibility for extension according to individual research progress.

The Master in Oil and Gas Management integrates analytical research methodologies with industry-specific knowledge to prepare participants for leadership roles in upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. Through a structured system of five modules, the program ensures both theoretical depth and practical relevance:

  • Two research-focused modules dedicated to advanced research design, quantitative and qualitative methodologies, data analysis, and academic writing.

  • Two general modules addressing strategic management, global business environments, sustainability, compliance, and risk governance within the energy sector.

  • One specialized module in Oil and Gas Management, focusing on energy economics, petroleum supply chains, project management, energy finance, regulatory frameworks, ESG considerations, and digital transformation in energy operations.

The program culminates in independent thesis and research activities, enabling participants to investigate real-world challenges such as energy transition strategies, oil price volatility, geopolitical impacts on supply chains, sustainable extraction models, or innovation in energy technologies.

Designed for working professionals and emerging industry leaders, this Master study program emphasizes evidence-based decision-making, policy analysis, and strategic thinking in a sector that remains central to global economic stability and energy security. Graduates are expected to contribute to high-level management, consultancy, policy development, and corporate strategy within national and international energy markets.

With its research-intensive structure, flexible duration, and strong alignment with European academic standards, the Master in Oil and Gas Management offers a forward-looking academic environment for those aiming to shape the future of energy governance and sustainable resource management.
