This Master study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for professionals and aspiring leaders in nonprofit organizations, NGOs, foundations, charities, and social enterprises. Equal to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the Second European Cycle, the program emphasizes analytical rigor, strategic leadership, and evidence-based management practices within mission-driven institutions.

Structured around 60 ECTS with a minimum duration of 12 months (with flexibility to extend), the program provides advanced academic preparation for individuals seeking to lead nonprofit organizations effectively, ensure financial sustainability, and maximize social impact in complex local and global environments.

The academic structure consists of five core modules, carefully designed to balance research competence and sector-specific expertise:

  • Two research-focused modules that develop advanced methodological skills in qualitative and quantitative research, impact assessment, performance evaluation, academic writing, and data-driven decision-making in nonprofit contexts.

  • Two general modules that strengthen competencies in strategic leadership, organizational governance, ethics, financial oversight, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable resource management.

  • One specialized module in Nonprofit Management, focusing on nonprofit governance structures, fundraising strategies, grant management, social entrepreneurship, public–private partnerships, regulatory compliance, and impact measurement frameworks.

The program culminates in a substantial thesis and research activities that enable participants to address real-world challenges in the nonprofit sector through systematic inquiry and strategic analysis.

Graduates of this Master study program are prepared to:

  • Lead nonprofit and mission-driven organizations

  • Design sustainable fundraising and financial models
