This Master study program is designed for learners who want to develop advanced knowledge in media management, journalism leadership, strategic communication, and the changing dynamics of the global media environment. It is a 100% research based program that supports participants in building strong analytical, academic, and professional competencies in the field of media and journalism. The program is suitable for those who aim to strengthen their understanding of leadership in news organizations, digital media transformation, editorial strategy, audience engagement, media ethics, and innovation in communication.
The study level is equal to ISCED / EQF level 7. ISCED refers to the International Standard Classification of Education, a global framework used to classify education levels. EQF refers to the European Qualifications Framework, which helps compare academic qualifications across Europe through a common reference system. At this level, students are expected to demonstrate advanced knowledge, critical thinking, independent research ability, and the capacity to address complex issues in professional and academic contexts.
This Master study program includes 5 modules: 2 research related modules, 2 general modules, and 1 module focused on the study field, followed by thesis and research activities. The structure is designed to provide a balanced academic journey that combines research methodology, broader management and leadership perspectives, and specialized study in media and journalism. This approach allows students to explore the media sector in depth while also gaining the research skills needed for high-level academic and professional work.
The minimum duration of the program is +12 months. At the same time, students benefit from flexibility, which allows them to extend the study period based on their personal schedule and academic needs. The program is equal to 60 ECTS and is considered equal to the 2nd European cycle. This reflects the advanced academic level of the program and its alignment with widely recognized European higher education structures.
