This Master study program is an advanced, 100% research-based academic pathway designed for professionals and graduates who seek to explore the strategic, managerial, and economic dimensions of the global media industry. Positioned at a study level equal to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the Second Cycle of the European Higher Education Area, the program provides an academically rigorous environment for critical analysis, innovation, and research-driven decision-making in media organizations.

With an academic workload equivalent to 60 ECTS, the program is structured to be completed in a minimum of 12 months, while offering flexibility for learners who wish to extend their study period according to professional or personal commitments. This flexible structure makes it suitable for working professionals, entrepreneurs, and media executives aiming to deepen their expertise through structured research.

The curriculum is composed of five modules, carefully designed to ensure both academic depth and practical relevance:

  • Two research-focused modules, strengthening advanced research methodologies, analytical frameworks, and academic writing competencies.

  • Two general academic modules, enhancing strategic thinking, governance understanding, and interdisciplinary perspectives relevant to leadership in media contexts.

  • One specialized module in Media Management, focusing on media economics, digital transformation, content strategy, audience analytics, platform governance, media law fundamentals, and sustainable media business models.

  • In addition, the program culminates in structured thesis and research activities, allowing participants to contribute original insights to the evolving media landscape.

The Master in Media Management emphasizes independent inquiry, critical evaluation of contemporary media systems, and evidence-based strategic planning. Students examine emerging trends such as digital convergence, streaming platforms, AI-driven content distribution, cross-border media regulation, and the economics of global communication networks.

This academically intensive and research-oriented framework prepares participants to operate at leadership and advisory levels in media corporations, digital startups, broadcasting institutions, publishing houses, communication agencies, and policy environments where strategic media governance plays a crucial role.
