This Master study program is a fully research-based academic pathway designed for professionals aiming to develop advanced expertise in maritime operations, fleet management, port efficiency, and global shipping logistics. Positioned at a study level equal to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the 2nd European cycle, the program emphasizes analytical thinking, operational optimization, and evidence-based decision-making within the maritime sector.
With a total academic workload equivalent to 60 ECTS and a minimum duration of 12 months (with flexible extension options), the program is structured to accommodate working professionals seeking to enhance their operational and strategic competencies in maritime environments.
The academic structure consists of five integrated modules, including:
Two research-focused modules that develop advanced skills in research design, quantitative and qualitative methodologies, maritime data analysis, risk assessment, and operational performance evaluation.
Two general modules addressing strategic leadership, international maritime regulations, safety management systems, sustainability frameworks, and global supply chain coordination.
One specialized module in Maritime Operations, covering fleet operations management, port and terminal coordination, maritime safety and compliance, vessel performance optimization, marine logistics planning, offshore operations, digital navigation systems, and maritime crisis management.
The program concludes with comprehensive thesis and research activities, enabling participants to examine contemporary challenges such as port congestion, operational risk mitigation, maritime sustainability strategies, digital transformation in vessel monitoring, supply chain resilience, and emergency response systems at sea.
