This Master study program is a fully research-based academic pathway designed for professionals and aspiring leaders in the global maritime and shipping industry. Positioned at a study level equal to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the 2nd European cycle, the program develops advanced analytical, managerial, and strategic competencies required to operate effectively within international shipping, port operations, maritime logistics, and global trade environments.
With a total workload equivalent to 60 ECTS and a minimum duration of 12 months (with flexibility for extension), the program is structured to accommodate working professionals seeking to deepen their expertise while maintaining professional commitments.
The academic structure consists of five integrated modules, including:
Two research-focused modules that strengthen advanced research design, quantitative and qualitative methodologies, and applied maritime analytics.
Two general modules that enhance strategic leadership, international regulatory frameworks, sustainability governance, and global business management.
One specialized module in Maritime and Shipping Management, focusing on port management, maritime economics, shipping finance, marine insurance, chartering strategies, supply chain integration, international maritime law, and digital transformation in logistics.
The program culminates in comprehensive thesis and research activities, enabling participants to investigate contemporary maritime challenges such as decarbonization, green shipping corridors, smart ports, digital freight platforms, maritime cybersecurity, and global trade resilience.
Graduates of this Master study program are equipped to contribute to shipping companies, port authorities, maritime regulatory bodies, logistics corporations, marine insurance institutions, and international trade organizations.
