This Master study program is a research-driven academic pathway designed for educators, instructional designers, learning strategists, and technology innovators who aim to transform education through evidence-based design and digital innovation. The Master in Learning, Design and Technology (LDT) focuses on the integration of pedagogy, learning sciences, digital tools, and human-centered design to create impactful, future-oriented learning environments.

Positioned at a study level equal to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the second European cycle, the program is academically equivalent to 60 ECTS credits. It is fully research-based and structured to develop advanced analytical, design, and evaluative competencies in educational contexts. Participants are prepared to critically examine learning theories, apply design frameworks, and leverage emerging technologies to enhance learning outcomes across diverse environments.

The program consists of five modules: two research-related modules, two general academic modules, and one specialized module in Learning, Design and Technology, followed by thesis and structured research activities.

The two research modules emphasize advanced research methodologies, design-based research approaches, data analysis in educational contexts, and evidence-informed innovation. Participants learn to construct rigorous research frameworks, evaluate digital learning interventions, and measure the effectiveness of instructional strategies using both qualitative and quantitative methods.

The two general modules strengthen interdisciplinary competencies in leadership, global education trends, ethics in digital learning, policy perspectives, and sustainable educational transformation. These modules ensure that participants develop a strategic understanding of how technology influences learning ecosystems at institutional and societal levels.

The specialized module in Learning, Design and Technology explores instructional design models, user experience in education, e-learning architecture, learning analytics, artificial intelligence in education, digital curriculum development, and innovation in blended and online environments. Emphasis is placed on designing scalable, inclusive, and learner-centered solutions that respond to the demands of modern educational systems.

The thesis and research activities form the core academic contribution of this Master study program. Participants conduct an in-depth research project within a chosen area of specialization, demonstrating their ability to synthesize theory, design innovative learning solutions, analyze outcomes, and contribute meaningful insights to the field of educational technology and learning design.

With a minimum duration of 12 months and flexible extension options, the program is tailored for professionals seeking academic advancement while maintaining their professional responsibilities. It prepares participants for advanced roles in instructional design, digital transformation in education, curriculum innovation, educational consultancy, learning analytics, and technology-driven educational leadership.
