This Master study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for legal professionals and graduates seeking advanced specialization in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) legal systems and regional regulatory frameworks. The program is positioned at a level equal to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the 2nd European cycle of higher education, ensuring academic rigor and international comparability.
The Master in Law and GCC focuses on the legal structures, regulatory environments, economic legislation, and transnational frameworks governing the GCC region. It provides in-depth analytical perspectives on commercial law, corporate regulations, investment frameworks, dispute resolution mechanisms, and public policy within GCC member states. The program is designed for professionals who aim to work in regional legal practice, governmental advisory roles, multinational corporations, or research environments focusing on Gulf legal systems.
The structure consists of five integrated modules. Two modules are dedicated to research methodology and advanced legal research skills, strengthening the participant’s ability to conduct independent, high-quality academic inquiry. Two general modules reinforce theoretical foundations, comparative legal analysis, and critical thinking in international and regional law. One specialized module concentrates specifically on GCC law, addressing regional legislation, regulatory harmonization, cross-border transactions, and evolving legal reforms within the Gulf region. The program culminates in a thesis and comprehensive research activities that demonstrate analytical depth and scholarly competence.
With a minimum duration of 12 months, the program offers flexibility, allowing participants to extend their studies in line with professional and personal commitments. The academic workload is equivalent to 60 ECTS, reflecting a structured and focused research-oriented learning experience.
