This Master study program is an advanced, 100% research-based academic pathway designed for professionals and graduates seeking in-depth expertise in international commercial and corporate legal frameworks. Positioned at a study level equal to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the second cycle of European higher education, the program emphasizes analytical thinking, comparative legal research, and strategic interpretation of cross-border legal systems.

With an academic workload equal to 60 ECTS and a minimum duration of 12 months (with flexible extension options), the program enables participants to explore complex legal issues in global trade, international contracts, corporate governance, dispute resolution, compliance, arbitration, investment law, and regulatory systems. It is structured to support professionals operating in multinational environments, international organizations, financial institutions, legal advisory firms, and global enterprises.

The academic structure includes five modules:

  • Two research-focused modules dedicated to advanced legal research methodology, academic writing, jurisprudential analysis, and applied legal investigation within international contexts.

  • Two general modules that strengthen interdisciplinary understanding, critical thinking, policy analysis, and global governance frameworks.

  • One specialized module concentrated specifically on International Business Law, addressing contemporary developments in global trade regulation, cross-border transactions, international corporate structures, compliance mechanisms, and legal risk management.

The program culminates in a substantial thesis and structured research activities that demonstrate independent analytical capacity, legal reasoning, and scholarly contribution. Students are expected to engage in comparative legal analysis, evaluate international treaties and conventions, and critically assess regulatory harmonization across jurisdictions.

This Master study program is designed for lawyers, compliance officers, corporate managers, policymakers, consultants, and entrepreneurs who aim to operate confidently within international legal environments. The research-based structure ensures academic rigor while allowing flexibility for working professionals.

Graduates of this program develop advanced competencies in legal interpretation, transnational negotiation strategy, regulatory compliance assessment, and global business governance. The curriculum reflects contemporary international legal challenges, including evolving trade regimes, digital commerce regulation, anti-corruption frameworks, investment arbitration, and multinational corporate accountability.

By combining research intensity with global legal relevance, the Master in International Business Law (LLM) prepares participants to contribute meaningfully to international legal practice, policy development, and corporate leadership in an increasingly interconnected world.
