The Master in Event and Leisure Management is an advanced postgraduate program designed to prepare professionals for strategic leadership roles in global event industries, leisure enterprises, entertainment management, and experiential tourism environments. Fully research-based and academically aligned with EQF Level 7, the program is equivalent to the Second Cycle of European Higher Education and awards 60 ECTS credits.
This program develops advanced expertise in event strategy, destination leisure planning, entertainment business models, experiential marketing, venue management, sponsorship strategy, and sustainable event design. Through a strong research orientation, students critically analyze mega-event management frameworks, cultural and corporate event planning models, digital event technologies, audience engagement strategies, and the economic impact of leisure industries. The academic framework ensures that graduates can design innovative, financially viable, and socially responsible event and leisure initiatives.
The academic structure consists of five core modules:
Two research-focused modules dedicated to advanced research methodology, leisure market analytics, event impact assessment, strategic planning research, and academic writing.
Two general management modules covering strategic leadership, corporate governance, hospitality and tourism integration, and global business environments.
One specialization module focused specifically on event production management, leisure operations strategy, sponsorship and partnership development, and entertainment industry innovation.
The program culminates in a master’s thesis and structured research activities, enabling students to conduct independent research on contemporary topics such as sustainable mega-events, digital transformation in event management, experiential branding strategies, global festival development, sports and entertainment economics, or smart leisure destinations. The final research project demonstrates analytical depth, strategic thinking, and professional-level expertise in event and leisure ecosystems.
The minimum duration is 12 months, with flexibility to extend the study period according to professional commitments. This structure makes the program particularly suitable for event managers, leisure industry professionals, festival directors, venue operators, entertainment entrepreneurs, and tourism strategists seeking advanced academic qualifications while continuing their careers.
Graduates are prepared for senior roles in international event organizations, entertainment corporations, sports event management, luxury leisure enterprises, destination marketing organizations, and global tourism and hospitality sectors.
