100% Research-Based | EQF Level 7 | 60 ECTS | Second European Cycle
The Master in Cybersecurity and Information Security is an advanced postgraduate program designed to prepare professionals for strategic leadership roles in cybersecurity governance, information assurance, and digital risk management. Fully research-based and academically aligned with EQF Level 7, the program is equivalent to the Second Cycle of European Higher Education and awards 60 ECTS credits.
This program develops advanced expertise in cybersecurity strategy, information security management systems, digital risk assessment, cryptography principles, secure network architecture, cloud security frameworks, data protection regulations, and cyber law compliance. Through a strong research orientation, students critically analyze emerging cyber threats, security operations centers (SOC) models, incident response systems, ethical hacking methodologies, and global cybersecurity governance standards. The academic framework ensures that graduates can design evidence-based security strategies to protect organizational assets and digital infrastructures.
The academic structure consists of five core modules:
Two research-focused modules dedicated to advanced research methodology, cybersecurity analytics, quantitative and qualitative risk analysis, and academic writing.
Two general management modules covering strategic leadership, corporate governance, and digital organizational environments.
One specialization module focused specifically on cybersecurity systems, information security architecture, digital forensics, risk management, compliance frameworks, and enterprise security strategy.
The program culminates in a master’s thesis and structured research activities, enabling students to conduct independent research on contemporary topics such as zero-trust architecture implementation, cyber risk governance, digital privacy compliance, advanced threat intelligence systems, AI in cybersecurity defense, or national cybersecurity policy frameworks. The final research project demonstrates analytical depth, technical competence, and strategic cybersecurity leadership.
The minimum duration is 12 months, with flexibility to extend the study period according to professional commitments. This structure makes the program particularly suitable for cybersecurity analysts, IT security managers, risk officers, digital transformation leaders, and technology consultants seeking advanced academic qualifications while continuing their careers.
Graduates are prepared for senior roles in cybersecurity management, information assurance leadership, digital risk governance, security consulting, regulatory compliance, and global technology organizations.
