This Master study program in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance is a research-based program designed for learners who want to develop advanced knowledge in digital security, cyber risk, information protection, and secure organizational systems. The program focuses on research, analysis, critical thinking, and independent academic work, helping students understand how cybersecurity supports modern institutions, digital transformation, data protection, and long-term trust in technology.

The study level is equal to ISCED / EQF Level 7. ISCED means the International Standard Classification of Education, a global framework used to describe education levels. EQF means the European Qualifications Framework, which helps compare qualifications across European education systems. Level 7 is commonly associated with advanced master-level learning, specialized knowledge, research ability, and professional analytical skills.

This Master study program is 100% research based and is structured around 5 modules, followed by thesis and research activities. The program includes 2 research-related modules, 2 general modules, and 1 specialized module related to Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. Through this structure, students are expected to build both academic research capacity and field-specific understanding in areas such as cyber governance, information assurance, security policy, digital resilience, and risk management.

The program carries a workload equal to 60 ECTS and is equal to the 2nd European cycle. The minimum duration is +12 months, while students have flexibility to extend their study program according to their personal, professional, and research progress.
