This Master study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for scholars who seek advanced expertise in the civilizations, languages, literature, philosophy, history, and cultural heritage of the ancient world. Positioned at a study level equal to EQF Level 7 and aligned with the Second European Cycle, the program provides a rigorous and intellectually enriching framework for in-depth scholarly exploration.
With a structure equivalent to 60 ECTS and a minimum duration of +12 months (with flexibility for extension), the program is tailored for motivated learners who wish to deepen their research capacity while engaging critically with classical texts, archaeological evidence, and historical interpretations.
The academic structure consists of five carefully designed modules:
Two research-focused modules developing advanced academic writing, methodology, and analytical frameworks.
Two general modules strengthening interdisciplinary thinking, academic communication, and theoretical foundations.
One specialized module dedicated specifically to Classical Studies, addressing key themes such as Greco-Roman civilization, ancient philosophy, classical literature, historical transitions, and cultural legacy.
The program culminates in an independent thesis and structured research activities, allowing participants to contribute original insight to the field of Classical Studies. Emphasis is placed on critical analysis of primary sources, comparative civilizational studies, historiography, and the relevance of classical thought in contemporary intellectual discourse.
