Master in Academic Practice

This Master study program is an advanced, research-driven pathway designed for professionals and academics who aim to strengthen their expertise in teaching, curriculum development, educational leadership, and scholarly practice within higher education and professional training environments. Structured as a 100% research-based program and aligned with a study level equal to EQF Level 7, it corresponds to the Second Cycle of the European Higher Education Area and is equal to 60 ECTS credits.

The Master in Academic Practice is tailored for educators, trainers, academic coordinators, and institutional leaders who seek to critically evaluate and enhance their academic practice through systematic research and reflective inquiry. The program emphasizes evidence-based teaching, curriculum innovation, quality assurance in education, assessment strategies, and the integration of digital and blended learning methodologies in contemporary academic contexts.

The academic structure consists of five carefully designed modules:

  • Two research-focused modules dedicated to research design, academic writing, methodology, and applied inquiry.

  • Two general modules addressing broader academic competencies such as educational leadership, policy awareness, ethics, and institutional development.

  • One specialized module focused specifically on Academic Practice, allowing participants to deepen their expertise in pedagogical theory, instructional design, and professional standards in higher education.

Throughout the program, participants engage in rigorous research and academic activities culminating in a substantial thesis project. The thesis allows candidates to investigate a real-world academic challenge, contribute to educational scholarship, and demonstrate advanced analytical and critical thinking skills expected at Master Level.

With a minimum duration of +12 months, the program offers flexibility for working professionals, enabling participants to balance their academic advancement with professional responsibilities. Students also have the option to extend their study period when needed, ensuring both academic depth and practical feasibility.
