The Executive Bachelor in Hospital Management is a bachelor-level study program designed for learners who want to develop practical knowledge in healthcare administration, hospital operations, service quality, patient-centered management, and modern leadership within medical and healthcare institutions. The program is suitable for working professionals, administrators, supervisors, and future managers who wish to strengthen their understanding of how hospitals and healthcare organizations are planned, managed, improved, and evaluated.
This bachelor study program is equal to ISCED / EQF Level 6. ISCED means the International Standard Classification of Education, a UNESCO framework used to compare education levels internationally. EQF means the European Qualifications Framework, which helps compare learning outcomes and qualification levels across European education systems. Level 6 generally refers to bachelor-level knowledge, skills, and responsibility, with an emphasis on applying theory to professional and practical contexts.
The program carries a workload equal to 60 ECTS and is aligned with the first European cycle. It is structured to provide both general academic preparation and specialized hospital management knowledge. The curriculum includes one module introducing students to online education, one module covering the basics of artificial intelligence, one module introducing research methods, two general modules related to healthcare and management, three specialized modules in hospital management, and a bachelor project with research activities.
The study duration is 12+ months. There is a minimum duration for completion, but students are given flexibility to extend their study period according to their personal, professional, and academic circumstances, subject to institutional study regulations. This flexible structure makes the program suitable for adult learners and working professionals who need to balance study with employment or other commitments.
The program focuses on practical and applied learning. Students explore key areas such as healthcare systems, hospital administration, quality management, patient services, healthcare leadership, digital transformation in healthcare, ethical decision-making, and research-based problem solving. Through the bachelor project and research activities, students are encouraged to connect academic learning with real challenges in hospital and healthcare environments.
By the end of the program, learners are expected to have a stronger understanding of how hospitals operate, how healthcare services can be improved, and how managers can support efficiency, safety, quality, and patient satisfaction in complex healthcare settings.
