The field of textiles has evolved into a complex and interdisciplinary domain integrating material science, engineering, sustainability, design systems, smart technologies, cultural studies, and global production networks. This doctorate study program is structured to enable candidates to investigate emerging challenges and opportunities within textile innovation, advanced fiber technologies, sustainable manufacturing systems, circular economy models, functional and technical textiles, and global supply chains.

The academic structure consists of seven modules, carefully designed to ensure methodological excellence and deep field specialization:

  • Four research-related modules focusing on advanced research design, quantitative and qualitative methodologies, academic publishing, innovation frameworks, and research leadership

  • Two general modules addressing strategic management, global industry transformation, sustainability governance, and interdisciplinary integration

  • One specialized module dedicated specifically to textile science, advanced materials, smart fabrics, technical textiles, and contemporary industrial applications

In addition, candidates complete a substantial thesis and engage in structured research activities that demonstrate their ability to generate original contributions and theoretical or applied advancements within the textile discipline.

The duration of the program is minimum 18 months, with flexibility to extend in accordance with research development and professional commitments. The program is designed for individuals aiming to take leadership roles in textile research, advanced manufacturing, innovation management, sustainability strategy, technical textile development, academia, or high-level consultancy.
