The Doctorate in Sustainable Finance and Impact Strategy (International Focus) is a 100% research-based doctorate study program designed for professionals and researchers committed to shaping the future of responsible finance and strategic impact. As global economies increasingly prioritize sustainability, environmental responsibility, and social value creation, this program provides an advanced academic pathway to explore how finance can drive long-term, measurable impact across industries and societies.

This doctorate study program is positioned at a level equivalent to ISCED and EQF Level 8, representing the highest level of academic and professional achievement in international education systems. The International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) is a globally recognized framework used to classify education levels across countries, while the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) aligns qualifications based on learning outcomes, competencies, and skills. Level 8 reflects the ability to conduct original research, contribute new knowledge, and influence strategic decision-making at the highest levels. The program is also aligned with the third cycle of European higher education, emphasizing independent research and academic excellence.

The program structure is carefully developed to build strong research capabilities while maintaining relevance to real-world financial and strategic challenges. It consists of seven modules, including four research-focused modules that strengthen advanced research methodologies, critical analysis, and academic writing. Two general modules provide broader interdisciplinary insights and enhance leadership and strategic thinking skills. One specialized module focuses on sustainable finance and impact strategy, addressing areas such as ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) frameworks, impact investing, green finance, climate risk management, social entrepreneurship, and responsible capital allocation. These modules are complemented by comprehensive thesis and research activities, allowing participants to develop original contributions that address pressing global challenges.

With a minimum duration of 18 months, the program offers flexibility tailored to the needs of working professionals and international participants. Learners have the ability to progress at a pace aligned with their professional commitments, ensuring accessibility without compromising the academic rigor and research quality expected at this level.

This doctorate study program is particularly suited for senior professionals, sustainability experts, financial strategists, policymakers, academics, and entrepreneurs who aim to lead transformative change. It equips participants with the expertise to critically evaluate financial systems, design strategies that generate both economic and social value, and contribute to the global transition toward sustainable development.

By integrating advanced research training with a strong focus on sustainability and impact, the program positions its participants at the forefront of a new financial paradigm—one that prioritizes accountability, resilience, and long-term value creation. It reflects a commitment to developing leaders capable of navigating complex global challenges while driving meaningful and measurable impact.
