The Doctorate in Sustainable Engineering focuses on producing innovative research that integrates engineering excellence with environmental stewardship, circular economy principles, and long-term resource efficiency. The academic framework consists of seven modules, including:

  • Four research-intensive modules dedicated to advanced research design, quantitative and qualitative engineering methodologies, sustainability modeling, lifecycle assessment, interdisciplinary systems analysis, and academic publishing strategies.

  • Two general academic modules focusing on strategic leadership, governance frameworks, innovation management, environmental policy integration, and institutional transformation in technology-driven sectors.

  • One specialized module in Sustainable Engineering, concentrating on sustainable design optimization, green construction technologies, renewable energy systems integration, circular production models, carbon management strategies, smart infrastructure, and emerging sustainable engineering innovations.

The program culminates in a comprehensive thesis and structured research activities, enabling candidates to generate original and impactful scholarly contributions that support sustainable development and technological transformation at regional and global levels.

With a minimum duration of 18 months, the program combines structured academic progression with flexibility, allowing candidates to extend their study period in accordance with research development and professional commitments.
