The Doctorate in Social Sciences (Philosophy) emphasizes advanced philosophical inquiry grounded in critical analysis, conceptual precision, and interdisciplinary integration. Participants engage deeply with classical and contemporary philosophical traditions, political philosophy, ethics, epistemology, philosophy of science, social theory, critical theory, and the philosophical dimensions of governance, technology, culture, and global transformation. The program encourages the development of independent thought and the production of research that addresses complex societal, institutional, and normative challenges.
The academic structure consists of seven modules:
Four research-focused modules dedicated to advanced research design, qualitative and theoretical methodologies, academic publication strategies, and high-level analytical frameworks.
Two general academic modules supporting ethical scholarship, interdisciplinary research integration, and academic leadership.
One specialized module centered on advanced philosophical studies within the context of Social Sciences.
In addition, participants complete a comprehensive doctoral thesis and structured research activities that demonstrate the ability to formulate, conduct, and defend original philosophical research at the highest academic level.
The duration is +18 months (minimum duration), with flexibility allowing candidates to extend their study period according to the scope and depth of their research work.
