This doctorate study program is a fully research-based academic pathway designed for senior professionals, researchers, and policy leaders who aim to contribute original knowledge to the advancement of sustainable energy systems and global energy transition strategies. Positioned at a study level equal to EQF Level 8 and aligned with the Third Cycle of the European Higher Education Area, the program emphasizes independent scholarship, strategic innovation, and high-level analytical expertise in renewable energy governance and management.

With a minimum duration of 18 months, the program offers flexibility for candidates to extend their research period in accordance with the scope of their academic investigation and professional responsibilities. It is particularly suited for experienced energy executives, sustainability directors, infrastructure planners, environmental policymakers, and academic researchers seeking to integrate scientific rigor with strategic energy leadership.

The academic framework consists of seven modules, ensuring methodological excellence and sector-specific depth:

  • Four research-intensive modules focusing on advanced research methodologies, energy systems modeling, quantitative and qualitative analysis, climate policy evaluation, carbon accounting, data-driven sustainability assessment, and scholarly publication strategies.

  • Two general academic modules strengthening strategic governance, global regulatory frameworks, innovation leadership, environmental economics, and interdisciplinary integration across energy, finance, infrastructure, and environmental management.

  • One specialized module in Renewable Energy Management, addressing renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, biomass), smart grid systems, energy storage solutions, decarbonization strategies, sustainable investment models, ESG integration, and international energy policy environments.

The program culminates in comprehensive thesis and research activities, enabling candidates to produce original scholarly work that advances theoretical understanding and practical solutions in clean energy deployment, climate resilience, and sustainable infrastructure development.

The Doctorate in Renewable Energy Management cultivates visionary leadership, evidence-based policy formulation, and strategic decision-making capacity.
