This doctorate study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for senior communication strategists, public relations executives, event directors, policy advisors, researchers, and academic leaders seeking to produce original and high-impact research in strategic communication and event management. Positioned at a level equal to EQF Level 8 and aligned with the third European cycle, the program emphasizes advanced theoretical development, analytical depth, and independent scholarly contribution within global communication environments.

With a duration of +18 months (minimum duration with flexible extension options), the program offers a rigorous yet flexible research framework that enables candidates to conduct in-depth academic investigations while maintaining executive or professional responsibilities.

The academic structure consists of seven modules, including:

  • Four research-focused modules dedicated to advanced research design, qualitative and quantitative methodologies in communication studies, media analytics, audience behavior research, impact evaluation, and doctoral-level academic writing and publication standards.

  • Two general modules addressing global governance in communication, strategic leadership, organizational theory, ethics in media and public relations, digital transformation, and international business environments.

  • One specialized module in PR and Event Management, focusing on corporate communication strategy, reputation and crisis management, stakeholder engagement, experiential marketing, international event planning and production, sponsorship strategy, media relations, brand positioning, and digital engagement ecosystems.

  • Thesis and research activities forming the core academic component, enabling candidates to conduct original, independent research addressing contemporary challenges and innovations in public relations and event management at local and global levels.

This doctorate study program prepares candidates to contribute at the highest levels of strategic communication leadership, institutional reputation management, global event design, policy development, and academic scholarship. It develops the capacity to critically evaluate communication systems, design evidence-based engagement strategies, and influence the future of corporate communication and event industries through research-driven innovation.
