This doctorate study program is a fully research-based academic pathway designed for senior professionals, scholars, and strategic leaders seeking to advance knowledge and contribute original research to the evolving field of media management. Positioned at a study level equal to EQF Level 8 and aligned with the Third Cycle of the European Higher Education Area, the program emphasizes independent inquiry, critical analysis, and high-level academic contribution within global media ecosystems.

Structured with a minimum duration of 18 months, the program provides flexibility for candidates who wish to extend their research period in alignment with professional and academic commitments. The design accommodates experienced media executives, policymakers, consultants, and academics aiming to deepen their expertise through rigorous scholarly investigation.

The curriculum is composed of seven academic modules, ensuring methodological excellence and subject-matter specialization:

  • Four research-intensive modules focusing on advanced research design, quantitative and qualitative methodologies, academic publishing strategies, epistemological frameworks, and data-driven media analysis.

  • Two general academic modules enhancing strategic governance perspectives, global policy understanding, innovation leadership, and interdisciplinary integration relevant to media industries.

  • One specialized module in Media Management, addressing media economics, digital transformation, platform governance, audience analytics, global communication systems, regulatory environments, artificial intelligence in media operations, and sustainable business models in creative industries.

The program culminates in comprehensive thesis and research activities, enabling candidates to produce original scholarly work that contributes to theoretical advancement and practical innovation in media management.

The Doctorate in Media Management fosters analytical leadership capable of addressing contemporary challenges such as digital convergence, streaming ecosystems, global media ownership structures, cross-border regulation, algorithmic content distribution, and strategic communication in complex markets. Graduates are positioned to operate at the highest advisory, executive, research, and policy levels within media corporations, regulatory bodies, academic institutions, and international communication networks.
