The Doctorate in International Business Administration and Global Strategy (International Focus) is a 100% research-based doctorate study program designed for professionals and advanced learners who aim to deepen their expertise in global business, strategic leadership, and international decision-making. This doctorate study program is structured for those who want to engage critically with complex business environments, develop original research, and contribute meaningful knowledge to the fields of international management, business administration, and global strategy.

In a time shaped by economic interdependence, geopolitical shifts, digital transformation, and cross-border competition, advanced study in international business requires more than practical experience alone. It also requires the ability to examine problems analytically, evaluate strategic options from a global perspective, and produce research that is relevant to institutions, industries, and policy discussions. This program is built around that purpose. It supports participants in exploring international business challenges through rigorous academic inquiry, independent investigation, and research-oriented analysis.

The study level of this doctorate study program is equal to ISCED level 8 and EQF level 8, and it is also considered equal to the 3rd European cycle. ISCED, the International Standard Classification of Education, is a framework developed to classify and compare education levels internationally. EQF, the European Qualifications Framework, is a European reference system that helps explain how qualifications relate to learning levels across countries. At level 8, both frameworks refer to the most advanced stage of higher learning, typically associated with original research, advanced knowledge creation, and a high level of intellectual and professional specialization.

The program is organized into 7 modules, creating a balanced and research-intensive academic structure. It includes 4 research-related modules, which strengthen scholarly inquiry, research design, analytical thinking, and academic writing. In addition, the program includes 2 general modules, which broaden advanced academic and professional understanding, as well as 1 module directly connected to the field of international business administration and global strategy. These modules are complemented by thesis and research activities, allowing participants to focus deeply on a relevant area of investigation and develop substantial academic work at doctorate level.

With a minimum duration of 18 months, the program is designed to offer both structure and flexibility. While there is a minimum study period, participants benefit from the possibility to extend their studies according to their professional responsibilities, research progress, and personal schedule. This flexibility makes the program especially suitable for experienced professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, consultants, policymakers, and academic-oriented practitioners who require a more adaptable pathway for advanced research.

Overall, this doctorate study program offers an academically serious and internationally oriented route for those seeking to engage with advanced business theory and global strategy at the highest level of study. It is intended for individuals who value research, critical thinking, and intellectual depth, and who wish to strengthen their ability to analyze international business realities with originality, independence, and strategic insight.
