This doctorate study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for scholars, policymakers, diplomats, international business leaders, and regional experts seeking to produce original and high-impact research on India’s historical evolution, political systems, economic transformation, cultural dynamics, and global strategic role. Positioned at a level equal to EQF Level 8 and aligned with the third European cycle, the program emphasizes advanced interdisciplinary analysis, theoretical development, and independent scholarly contribution within the context of one of the world’s most influential emerging powers.
With a duration of +18 months (minimum duration with flexible extension options), the program offers a rigorous yet flexible research framework that enables candidates to conduct in-depth academic investigations while maintaining professional or institutional responsibilities.
The academic structure consists of seven modules, including:
Four research-focused modules dedicated to advanced research design, qualitative and quantitative methodologies, comparative regional studies, geopolitical analysis, policy research frameworks, and doctoral-level academic writing and publication standards.
Two general modules addressing global governance systems, international political economy, development theory, cultural and civilizational studies, strategic leadership, and ethics in international research.
One specialized module in India Studies, focusing on Indian political institutions, constitutional development, economic reforms, foreign policy strategy, regional security, social transformation, religious and cultural pluralism, sustainable development, and India’s role in global power structures.
Thesis and research activities forming the core academic component, enabling candidates to conduct original, independent research addressing contemporary and historical issues related to India and its regional and global impact.
