This doctorate study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for senior professionals, researchers, and academic leaders who seek to generate original contributions to the field of health sciences. Aligned with EQF Level 8 and equivalent to the third European cycle, the program emphasizes advanced scientific inquiry, interdisciplinary integration, and high-level analytical competence within healthcare and public health environments.

The Doctorate in Health Sciences is structured to cultivate independent research excellence, critical evaluation of complex health systems, and the development of innovative solutions addressing global and regional health challenges. Participants engage in rigorous academic exploration across biomedical research, health policy, epidemiology, healthcare management, preventive medicine, and digital health transformation.

The curriculum is organized into seven modules, including:

  • Four advanced research modules focused on doctoral-level research design, advanced quantitative and qualitative methodologies, biostatistics and data modeling, academic publishing strategies, and scientific impact development.

  • Two general academic modules covering advanced leadership in healthcare systems, ethics and governance in medical research, strategic health innovation, and global health frameworks.

  • One specialized Health Sciences module addressing emerging issues such as health systems resilience, precision medicine, population health analytics, and integrated care models.

The program culminates in a comprehensive doctoral thesis and structured research activities, enabling candidates to produce original scholarly work that contributes meaningfully to academic knowledge, healthcare innovation, and evidence-based policy development.

The minimum duration of the program is 18 months. However, flexibility is provided for candidates who require an extended research timeline, making it suitable for experienced professionals balancing academic advancement with executive or clinical responsibilities.

Graduates of this doctorate study program are positioned for senior academic roles, high-level research leadership, policy advisory positions, executive healthcare management, and international health consultancy. The program supports the development of globally competent experts capable of shaping the future of health systems and scientific research.
