The program is 100% research based, making it suitable for learners who wish to develop deeper academic and professional understanding of culinary business models, innovation in food services, and entrepreneurial leadership in the culinary sector. It supports independent research, critical analysis, and the development of new ideas that can contribute to the future of food-related enterprises.

The study level is equal to ISCED / EQF Level 8. ISCED means the International Standard Classification of Education, used to compare education levels internationally. EQF means the European Qualifications Framework, which helps describe learning levels across Europe. Level 8 represents advanced doctorate-level study and is equal to the 3rd European cycle.

The doctorate study program includes 7 modules: 4 research-related modules, 2 general modules, and 1 module focused on the study field, followed by thesis and research activities.
