This doctorate study program is a 100% research-based academic pathway designed for accomplished writers, literary scholars, and creative professionals who seek to produce original contributions to the field of Creative Writing through advanced scholarly inquiry and innovative artistic practice. Positioned at a level equal to EQF Level 8 and aligned with the Third European Cycle, the program emphasizes intellectual independence, critical depth, and the integration of research with high-level creative production.

With a minimum duration of +18 months, and flexible extension options to accommodate professional and creative commitments, the program supports rigorous academic development while allowing candidates to cultivate a distinctive literary voice within a structured research environment.

The academic structure consists of seven modules, including:

  • Four research-focused modules dedicated to advanced research methodologies, literary theory, comparative literature, critical discourse analysis, practice-based research, and scholarly publishing.

  • Two general modules strengthening high-level competencies in cultural studies, philosophy of art, ethics in authorship, global literary movements, and interdisciplinary research frameworks.

  • One specialized Creative Writing module exploring advanced narrative strategies, experimental forms, genre innovation, poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, dramaturgy, and scriptwriting at a professional and scholarly level.

The program culminates in a comprehensive research thesis supported by structured research activities, enabling candidates to produce an original creative body of work accompanied by critical reflection and theoretical contribution.
