This Master study program is an advanced academic pathway designed for learners who wish to deepen their understanding of historical processes, civilizations, cultures, and global transformations. It provides a strong research-oriented environment where students critically explore primary and secondary sources, analyze historical narratives, and develop independent scholarly perspectives.
The program is 100% research based, focusing on academic investigation, analytical thinking, and methodological precision. It is structured at a study level equal to EQF Level 7, corresponding to the second European cycle, and carries an academic workload equal to 60 ECTS.
The curriculum consists of five modules, carefully designed to balance research excellence and academic breadth. Two modules focus on advanced research methodologies and academic writing. The program culminates in a comprehensive thesis and structured research activities, demonstrating the candidate’s ability to conduct independent and academically rigorous historical research.
With a minimum duration of 12 months, students benefit from flexibility in organizing their study schedule, with the possibility to extend the program where needed. This structure makes the program suitable for working professionals, educators, researchers, and individuals aiming to advance their expertise in historical studies while maintaining other professional commitments.
Through intensive research engagement, critical interpretation of historical events, and structured academic inquiry, this Master study program prepares participants for advanced academic, research, analytical, and advisory roles in education, cultural institutions, policy research, heritage management, and international organizations.
